The biological bank, built at the Sacco Hospital, will collect and store all biological, blood and tissue samples relating to Covid 19 and will provide a great opportunity for the study and development of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, including those of the vaccine type. General Planning took care, on behalf of UNIMI, of the complete executive project (architecture, structures and systems) and of the operational management of the intervention for the construction of this new plant: a redevelopment of spaces already present within the hospital for the creation of a completely renovated unit dedicated to research. The Biological Bank is located in the basement of Pavilion 62, in the area of the Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan.

The project is completed by the construction of a technical area for the installation of the nitrogen tank at the service of the Biological Bank, located outside Hall 62 and easily accessible by vehicles for its supply.
