The project involves the construction of a new building to be used as nanotechnology research laboratories and offices. The building develops as a single building with two floors above ground on a rectangular plan covering an area of ​​1,867 square meters.

The functional setting includes an office area located near the entrance and an area with laboratory functions surrounding a center for classified rooms (clean rooms) and service areas.

The destination of the interior spaces is reflected in the treatment of rough and opaque facades for the labs and polished and reflective areas for the offices. The two types of façade fit together giving the impression that the compact volume of the building is born from the superposition and interlocking of elementary forms. The compact mass of the building is fragmented through a horizontal and vertical rhythmic façade design, attenuating its impact and generating a strongly characterizing design.
