Hotel Palazzetto Rosso is located in a 13th-century palace in the historical center of Siena.
The building, entirely made of bricks, has been finely restored and converted into a charming property. On the facade there are large portals of the arches, finely adorned with geometric motifs and games of forms given by the decorative use of the brick.
In the heart of the Palazzetto Rosso there is a majestic staircase, also totally brick, which winds around a large well and culminates in a skylight of square form.
The wonderful Gothic and typically Sienese architecture of the Palazzetto Rosso is contrasted with a contemporary design. The nine rooms of the Palazzetto Rosso cultivate this gentle liaison between past and present, antiquity and modernity, history and charm.
The beauty of architectural volumes, features of wooden beams and paintings has been entirely preserved in order to provide the hotel with the best comforts without disturbing the two-nineteenth-century balance of the building: the exclusively air-conditioning system on the floor, or the bathroom solution in the middle of the room in glass cubes, real pieces of furniture, are wonderful examples.
