The project aimed to enhance a single, horizontal and single-storey structure, with the creation of offices where quality is given by the view onto the internal courtyards and by choices oriented towards the sustainability of the materials, high performance in terms of thermo-acoustic insulation and the comfort of the working environment achieved with energy efficiency and natural light control. The design of the internal office spaces followed two main guidelines: the quality of the work spaces and the collective dimension of the common spaces. On a detailed scale, the project was based on the vertical rhythm of the aluminum panels and windows that make up the facades. The building finds its architectural expression in the dialectic between opaque, rough, fiber cement surfaces and pure, glassed, transparent and reflective surfaces that change their appearance in relation to the incidence of light. The main facade with the semi-reflective coating and the ‘funnel’ geometry converging on the entrance, leads those approaching the building towards the internal courtyard where, thanks to the large full-height transparent glass facades, its contents are revealed.

The project received LEED Platinum certification.
