The “Pharo” project involved the construction of a new office building at Via Gattamelata 30/34 in Milan, through the demolition of an existing residential complex, site remediation, and new construction. The building consists of two underground levels for parking and technical rooms, and three interconnected blocks above ground, with heights of 8, 11, and 14 floors, for a total gross floor area of approximately 22,700 sqm.
The architectural design enhances the site’s strategic location with a main volume reaching 66.6 m in height, creating an iconic landmark visible from various points in the city. Interior spaces are designed for maximum flexibility to accommodate two or more tenants, featuring large halls, recreational areas, and meeting rooms. The building, characterized by glazed façades and green terraces, integrates high-efficiency systems, a mixed air-water HVAC system, groundwater utilization, photovoltaic installation, and centralized BMS control.
Structurally built with reinforced concrete and lightweight slabs, the complex has achieved LEED Core & Shell v2009 Platinum certification, confirming high standards of sustainability and innovation.
