The former Telecom Italia building is located in the Porta Venezia district, in viale Regina Giovanna. It currently has a vast façade made up of two buildings built in the 1950s, and a smaller building in via Maiocchi 4-6.
The intervention involves the complete redevelopment of the property through structural demolition and reconstruction of the stairwells and the creation of a new double-height entrance hall that connects the main entrance with the internal courtyard. The works are aimed at adapting the floor layouts according to current requests with the creation of new vertical connections and technical shafts for plant distribution.
The facades resume the characteristics and style that distinguish the context, the part of Regina Giovanna 25 will be restored while a ventilated facade covered with porcelain stoneware tiles will be introduced in the remaining facades.
In the basement, in the portion intended for offices, an underground courtyard will be created, connected to the main one, which will allow for bright environments and direct relationships between the internal office spaces and the external ones.
The roofs will be partly paved and partly green, allowing for the creation of meeting spaces.
The project received the LEED Platinum certification.
