The building dedicated to Proton Therapy will house rooms dedicated to the innovative healthcare activity of radiotherapy through proton therapy. Located within an existing hospital complex, it will be connected to the current radiotherapy department through an underground tunnel to ensure patient connections and optimization of services.

The project stems from the need of the European Institute of Oncology to acquire new treatment spaces with this new minimally invasive technique, as well as to expand the spaces dedicated to outpatient activities.

The project involves the construction of:

• 1 bunker for Proton Therapy;
• related technical support and maintenance rooms;
• clinical and care premises;
• general and dedicated plant engineering;
• expansion of the radiotherapy department.
